How it all started...
McPherson Free Methodist Church was founded in 1872, the same year as the city of McPherson, The early church had the same passion to see people set free by the Gospel message that we have today.
The church is not a building, but a gathering of God's people. When we first gathered together the circuit pastor would come to town and preach every 4th Sunday. Members of the congregation would preach at the other gatherings. We have always believed we have been called to be faithful to God together.

Expanding the vision...
150 years later, we continue to be passionate about joining Jesus in His mission. We strive to SERVE JESUS TOGETHER & FOLLOW JESUS WHEREVER. This includes: commit to the Father's will, connect to God & His church, reach those outside our walls, and pray continually.
Today you will find us pouring into kids in many ways and joining together in Life Groups. Life Groups are a place where we journey together in faith. We believe our journey is about faith and action with the goal of knowing God and making Him knows as we live Holy lives in Christ.

Where we are headed...
After more than 150 years, our mission has not changed. We will continue to celebrate what God has done and look forward to what He will do. He has called us to make disciples of all nations and we will seek that goal.
" And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God."
2 Corinthians 5:15-20
