A Radical Commitment to God and His Church

"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people."

Mark 1:17

We strive to live our lives like Jesus.  Jesus came to serve, not be served (Mark 10:45) and when we follow His example we find ourselves serving others.  Jesus is on a mission and He has invited us to join Him.  We encourage EVERYONE to serve.

Serving Others

FOLLWING JESUS EXAMPLE

At Mac Free we are servants who serve God and others. It is out of love for God and for people that we serve Jesus together. As we follow Jesus's example, we find that we are compelled to serve others in the church, community, and world. You are invited to join us in serving God and others.

It is important to understand that placing faith in Christ includes a cost. Jesus said, "Whoever wants to be my disciple, must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.  For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it." (Mark 8:34-35)

All of us are servants. We have different roles, but we are all servants.  Christians are people who have committed to a call higher than their own desires and dreams. Since we belong to Christ, it is our joy and honor to serve Him with our lives.

HONORING GOD

We are excited to participate in the story God is writing through our individual lives and our community.  We are a church where God is changing lives, re-ordering priorities, and where we are learning how to live together in the freedom of whom God created us to be.
The hand logo serves as a reminder of who we are as McPherson Free Methodist Church.  With our hands we serve God and others.  With our hands we respond as Jesus calls us to follow Him.  The "ichthys", or fish symbol, in the palm of the hand is a reminder that we are connected to the church located around the world and throughout history.  "Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me."  John 12:26

When we serve together, we have the ability to exponentially multiply our influence for Christ in this world, and we are committed to that end.
