Rosalie Anne (Gillette) Jeffery was the second daughter born to Clayton & Helen Gillette, July 24, 1943 in Sioux Falls South Dakota and passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 13, in Phoenix, AZ.

Rose grew up In Wessington Springs, South Dakota with her two sisters, Marilyn (Ellis) Odermann, Eloise Gillette & her brother, Gaylord (Vickie) Gillette.

Rose graduated from Wessington Springs College with an AA degree in 1963 and from Seattle Pacific University with a BA degree in Art & Elementary Education in 1965. She also earned a MA degree in Elementary Education & Administration from Seattle Pacific University in 1967.

She loved teaching 5th graders & later Preschool children.

Rose and Dave Jeffery were married June 19, 1965 and enjoyed 58 ½ years of marriage. (Rose would tell you at least 10 of them were happy years.) The couple was blessed with two wonderful daughters, Shanna Lynn (Bryce) Fendall and Janel Sue (Jason) Tucker. She also has two grandchildren that she adored, Bryan Eugene Fendall & Ashlee Rose Fendall. Numerous nieces, nephews, family & friends also survive.

Rose loved everything artistic: cake decorating, ceramics, crafts, calligraphy, home decor, quilting, sewing, lively music…Bible Study Fellowship & Bunco were two things she would never miss attending!

Christmas was her favorite time of year, so she could creatively make her home festive & alive with great food, fun & bright colors.

The family commented with deep thankfulness: “You made us laugh, see the beauty in colors & encouraged us to Love & Trust in Jesus.”
