Deborah Somerville, Senior Pastor Contact: dsomerville [at] macfmc.org*
Pastor Deborah Somerville is a Free Methodist preacher’s kid who grew up in parsonages in across Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. She came to love both Jesus and the church at an early age as she moved from place to place with her parents and three younger siblings. She was ordained elder in the Free Methodist Church in June of 2003 and completed the Master of Arts in Leadership and Ministry degree from Greenville College in 2005. In God’s providence, He has led the Somervilles to four Free Methodist college communities and churches (Spring Arbor, MI; Rochester, NY; Greenville, IL), presently serving the church in McPherson since July of 2008. Karl and Deb have two adult children: Ryan (wife Amber, son Aiden) from West Bloomfield, MI; and Courtney (husband Paul) from Jersey City, NJ. She enjoys an eclectic mix of musical styles, stunt riding on all-terrain vehicles (from which she has permanently retired), cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, and taste-testing anything chocolate.
