Adults

We offer many different opportunities for our adults to connect. We desire to see our men and women grow in their faith in Christ and knowledge of the Bible as well as connect with the people around them.

Sunday School at 9:15 am The purpose of Sunday School at McPherson Free Methodist Church is to help facilitate the renewing of our minds in Christ (Romans 12:2). For the past year we have been posting the subjects that each of our teachers will be teaching within the course of a quarter. Many of our classes have traditionally met according to particular age demographics. We would love to shake that up for the sake of new fellowship opportunities and exposure to other viewpoints in class discussion!

The Fall 2011 quarter has all classes studying, discussing, exploring, and learning from  “The Bible in 90 Days.”

Teach Us To Pray, Wednesday at 6:30 pm (Parlor) Prayer defines a church. If prayer is not the primary material for the building blocks of the church’s foundation, she will surely crumble. Or worse yet, she will muscle forward under her own steam, developing and running programs, creating artificial worship, and realizing no lasting fruit. Without prayer, the church doesn’t have a prayer.

Wednesday evenings you are invited to 60-75 minutes of focused prayer and teaching on prayer in the church sanctuary. The atmosphere is casual, the teaching is succinct, and there is meaningful engagement with one another and with God. Bring your Bible, your prayer journal, your hungry heart for more of God

Membership Class. The membership class serves as an informative introduction to the Free Methodist denomination, as well as to the biblical concept of God’s Church in general. Attending the class is a requirement for full membership, but attending the class by no means obligates you to join our church. So come see what it’s all about. If you are interested in learning more, see Pastor Dallas.

Community Groups are meant to facilitate growth in relationships with one another through conversation and prayer together, as well as service, study, or other activities as the particular group sees fit. After a church-wide invitation to get involved with new Community Groups can be this past spring, we currently have ten groups. Those interested in Community Groups to plug into an existing group or to form a new one as the need arises.  If you would like more information about Community Groups, see Pastor Dallas or Sharon Walker(bjwalker@speednet.com).

TWIGS: Today’s Women in God’s Service. As women, we need social interaction as well as a safe place to be loved by people outside our homes. We strive to be a group of godly women serving each other. We interact in the lives of those around us who have a need.  We pray together. We reach out to our community to help others in everyday life. You will want to be a part of TWIGS! Be on the lookout for the upcoming announcements about the fall schedule of events!
