We believe that as followers of Jesus Christ, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses in McPherson, and in all of Kansas and our surrounding states, and to the ends of the earth.* First of all, it is important to note that we are not called to witness in our own strength, but in the magnificent power of the Holy Spirit! We are called to be witnesses – to testify with our mouths and give evidence with our lives and actions of the truth of Jesus Christ.
This call to testify and give evidence takes different forms in our hometown of McPherson and the local area. Local families are touched with physical necessities and love through the ministry of Outreach McPherson. Local families are encouraged and trained with financial information through the ministry of STEPMC. Families in the greater area around McPherson are thankful for supplies, donations and support both in everyday events and times of crisis. Through each delivery, lesson and donation, we pray that the name of Jesus Christ will be loudly heard through our words and actions. May the name of the Lord be praised!
*Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
