Micheal has attended the Mac Free church over 17 years. A widower of 12 years-after 27 years together. Five children and a foster daughter who still calls him dad. Five grandchildren and three foster grandchildren. Graduated in 2011 from Central College with a general ministry degree and a heavy emphasis in elementary education. Owned and operated a daycare and two foster child group homes. Worked with children most of his life, starting as a camp counselor in high school. He enjoys the excitement and wonder of a child learning new things, especially as they connect to our Heavenly Father. Suzanne has the privilege of overseeing the administrative side of early childhood! She has served in various aspects of children’s ministry since joining MacFree over a decade ago. Her role is to ensure that little ones in the nursery through preschool/kindergarten, as well as the volunteers serving in these areas, have everything they need for a safe and engaging space. She also teaches the 2-and 3-year old Sunday School class, and works closely with her husband, Zach, who oversees Family Ministry at MacFree. They have three elementary-aged children. Her desire is to strengthen children’s relationship with Jesus—beginning with our littlest members!

Despite being a Houston native, she has followed the Lord's direction to stay and serve in Kansas. She is a graduate of the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk!) for both undergraduate (2013) and law school (2016). She definitely loves all things KU.
Despite following the call into the legal field for my career, my heart and ministry has always centered on worship art.
I served as a worship arts intern for my home church in Texas, served and lead on my church worship team in Lawrence, and have played in various church bands over the years.
I deeply strive to center my life on Colossians 3:23 - "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord and not for men."
My hope and prayer is that through music, the Lord would allow me to lead our church to new levels of relationship with Him and community with one another
